Be prepared for a very long post.
So about a million things have happened since I last blogged so rather than try and summarize . . . Here they all are!
Daniel and I went to Utah for a week to visit friends and family. It was so fun to see everyone and relax a little before school started up again.
We met Smokey the Bear at Costco. We had a party for some friends, but it was secretly an excuse to buy a Costco chocolate cake . . . mmmm
Sunbathing with the family dog Belle
Walmart - your one-stop shop for hideous BYU apparel!
On a moonlight ski lift ride at Sundance
Oh Cafe Rio how we miss you so . . .
And Jdawgs . . .
And In n out . . .
One of the best things about the trip was that we got to go to the temple twice. I found a couple that we were able to be baptized, confirmed, initiatory, endowed and do the sealing for. It was really an awesome experience, especially the sealing. I can't imagine anything better than being sealed to Daniel for eternity and I know that the couple was waiting for that opportunity and I feel so blessed that we could do that for them. I am so grateful for temples and miss having them close by - hopefully they will finish the Philadelphia one while we're still living here!
We did the baptism/confirmation at Mt. Timpanogos temple, I'd never been before.
The next day we did the rest at the Draper temple where we were sealed.
Oh and this is what they're calling houses now by the Draper temple . . . I'm pretty sure that's a castle.
On the way home I stopped in Portland and surprised my Mom for her birthday! We did the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and had lots of fun. We even got lucky enough to not have to walk in the rain!
pink pink pink!
yes, even ponies take time to find a cure for breast cancer.
our boatload of goodies!
This little oasis is my mom's backyard. She's planted absolutely everything there with her own little green thumb.
Saturday we went to the Rotorfest - helicopters, helicopters, helicopters. Needless to say Daniel had a fantastic time. (Me? It was fun but I'm pretty sure I only needed 15 minutes there to be satisfied)
And the most life changing event in the last few weeks? A new addition to our family! Weighing in at maybe about 4 lbs and about 14inches long. . . Rocky Moses Jones. Rocky was found by a friend of mine's husband. He had a shelter tag and when they took him there the shelter said that they were about to put him down but Rocky had somehow led an escape of several cats. My friend isn't allowed to have pets and her husband's allergic, so lucky us got to welcome this sweet little boy into our family. He loves to snuggle and get belly scratches and follows us whenever we leave the room. He likes to sleep at the foot of our bed to protect us at night and (usually) is very cooperative with bedtime. He also likes chasing pieces of paper around the house. (Oh and he also has really smelly farts but we're hoping a food change will fix that!) We LOVE LOVE him!
Our little family is complete . . . for now.
And I apologize for the ridiculously long post but now that school's started there probably won't be anything but pictures of Rocky in strange positions and occasional recipes on the blog. So I had to make sure you knew we really were interesting people.

football cookies and rembrandt
We tried staying up til 1130 last night to watch the cougar game on byutv. . . epic fail. but at least we were prepared! (ps these lasted less than 24 hrs)
Friday night we went on a date to the art museum. they have an exhibit there right now, "rembrandt and the face of Jesus." John gave us tickets to it as a thanks for watching sweet little Dakotah. The exhibit was really cool and even had this painting they were borrowing from BYU's art museum (which me and Daniel saw when we went on a date there last summer). Oh and that there is sweet little Dakotah.
This was from Green Eggs Cafe (YUM). We went out to lunch on my last day at my internship last week. Chocolate Raspberry Torte French Toast. MMMMM!
Our beautiful city . . .
And Daniel playing on his ipad. Thanks Mom and Dad and Stephanie and Chris! (I can't get him off it!)
