Vive la France

A few weeks ago Daniel and I went to French arts festival where they turned Broad st. into the streets of Paris. There was a carousel, lights everywhere, moving statues, lots of little shops, yummy things we wish could have eaten, and lots of other fun stuff like a crazy contortionist who fit his whole body through a squash racquet! We ended up waiting like two hours for the grand finale smushed up against a cement wall with millions of people who were ready to snap at any moment! But it was pretty freaking cool: fire, acrobats, and musicians dangling high above the city in a crazy contraption. I tried uploading the video of it but it took WAY too long so you'll just have to imagine it!

Seafoam!

Lately I am obsessed with anything seafoam green - bags, purses, swimsuits - all of it! I just can't get enough! I've yet to buy anything in the color since we have so little mula, even though Daniel will tell you I drool over anything seafoam. Here's a little bit of my cravings in the shade, maybe you'll catch some of the fetish.

On another note, Daniel's mom came to visit this weekend - we had so much fun going to the beach and walking around Philly and we exposed her to the deliciousness of east coast food. I'll have to upload pictures when I get the chance to hook up the camera - I'm supposed to be doing homework right now instead of dreaming about seafoam . . . oh and Daniel and I have been together for a year now! Woohoo!

4 months

It's been four months today since we got married - every time we make it another month we give each other a high five. Its quite the adventure! This weekend we got to go down to D.C. and go to the temple, which we haven't been to since we got married. Although the traffic was terrible it was really nice to be there and to feel the quiet peaceful feeling. Neither one of us has been inside the D.C. temple before (except for the baptistry) so it was really nice, especially to see the bride's room where Mom got ready for her wedding! I'm so grateful that we have temples and the blessings that come from being sealed together. I really miss having them so close by, we wish they would speed up building the Philadelphia one! We stayed with my old roommate Christine in Virginia and hung out with her on Saturday in D.C. It was yucky and rainy but we still got to see some fun things (and of course eat yummy Georgetown cupcakes). It was a nice little trip and hopefully we can go back soon!

We stopped in Baltimore for dinner on the home and got a brownie sundae. It was ginormous and took us two days to finish!

Phillies!

Tomorrow is opening day (if the rain holds out!) We're excited for the season and glad we have TV so we can at least watch some of the games. Daniel found us cheap tickets to an exhibition game on Tuesday (we made up for the price in the ridiculous amounts of food we ate :) ) It was FREEZING but lots of fun, unfortunately we missed the only home run because we were looking for ice cream (typical). So for those of you who don't know, the Phillies played a crucial part in me and Daniel getting together. I was wearing a Phillies hat the day we met, which is why Daniel came up to talk to me because he was excited to find a girl that liked sports. Our very first conversation was about the Phillies, I had just finished watching a game. And it was the day Daniel gave me a Phillies hat with my initials in it that I realized I really did like him (I know that sounds superficial but I realized that a boy could do something that sweet for me for no reason, and I really deserved it.) I'm so lucky to have someone so sweet and thoughtful that I get to spend every day with. And I'm glad we get to watch Phillies games together!
