day 5 vacation

we spent friday in philadelphia. daniel and i took mom and pop to a few of our favorite places around the city and then went to the phillies game. unfortunately they lost, but we still had a great time and got to see lots of old wall of fame players like mike schmidt, darren daulton, and john kruk. we're glad we could show our parents a little bit of our city!

cheesesteaks at pat's

if you come to visit us, we will not let you get away without a visit here

the most delicious homemade ice cream

our "soda jerk" dipping out the ice cream

syrups . . . seriously everything about this place is too cute

i cannot bring myself to order anything but the mt. vesuvius because it is so delicious.

i get really sad the times i can't finish the whole thing. luckily not this time.

daniel's rootbeer float

luckily the ice cream dripped off her spoon back into the bowl

we took a walk over to elfreth's alley, the oldest residential street in the nation. daniel and i had only been at night before when it was pitch black - much cuter in the daytime.

can i live somewhere where foliage like this grows over my door please?

then we headed over to reading terminal market. they had a pennsylvania dutch festival where they were selling genuine amish crafts like these oven mitts!

but seriously we love the market. pretty sure you could spend months here and still wouldn't be able to eat everything.

we bought a few huge dills to sneak into the game later.

amish donuts . . . mmmm

i wouldn't mind wearing dentures if they were made of chocolate like these

"mike tyson special - ears that are ok to bite"

flowers

dad and me - drexel dragons!

phillies game!!!

i'm glad he's green again

my love

that's my boyfriend ryan howard at bat.

daniel eating our weakness . . . graham slam

thanks again mom and dad!
